On our march to 100 games, we've paused periodically to recall classic games in Weasels lore. Here's our final look back, this time at Game No. 10, which was played Sept. 9, 2006, at Greg Duenow's home.

Game No. 10 featured founders Jim O'Kelley and Scott Yahne, Greg and Thom Comstock from the class of Game No. 3, Paul Pignotti and Large Small playing in their second games, and a newcomer named Michael Martinez. Enjoy.

Along the march to 100 games, we've paused periodically to recall classic games in Weasels lore. This time, we'll look at Game No. 9, which introduced to the group future stalwarts Matt Sundstrom, Paul Pignotti and Kevin O'Kelly.

This game is also significant in that it took place at our first season-ending gala at Eric Brown's home in Wayne. The season-ending celebration at his place has become one of our club's favorite traditions. Back then, the Pyle was actually the Moot, so this event, technically, was both Weasel Pyle I and Weasel Moot 0.

Anyway, here's my report from Game No. 9, played August 12, 2006. Enjoy.

We just held our 90th game, another landmark on the march to 100. So here's another look back at a classic Weasels game. This one was played at Greg Duenow's girlfriend's apartment on April 29, 2006. The game resulted in our club's first two-way draw, but it is more famous in club lore for how we arrived at that result. At the time, we referred to the chain of events as the Bonnie Situation.

No Stabbing Eric – A Game No. 6 Report

Founded in September 2005, the Windy City Weasels Diplomacy club to
date has only one bylaw: No stabbing Eric Brown. It's a rule that in
previous games, several of us took great pleasure in violating. On
April 29 at Greg Duenow's apartment, however, things changed.

As we march toward our 100th game, we'll feature classic game reports every five games. Here's my write-up from Game No. 3, which was played Jan. 21, 2006, at my home in Chicago. Game 3 was notable because it brought to the club Christian Kline, Greg Duenow and Thom Comstock. Those three have played in a combined 81 games, and Greg and Thom helped build the club in the years before the Sneak.

Enjoy this blast from the past.

Bungle Boogie – A Game No. 3 Report

On the eve of Game No. 3, Chicago was hit by an unexpected (at least by me) snowfall. So, instead of sleeping peacefully, I spent much of the night worrying about the status of our game.

As we march toward our 100th game, we're going to revisit a classic Weasels article every five games. Today, we'll look at game No. 2, which was played at my old home in Chicago on Nov. 12, 2005. That game brought Andy Lischett, Nick Rohn and Barry Johnson into our mix.

Here's Andy's take on the game, as published in his Diplomacy zine Cheesecake.

Diplomacy at Jim O’Kelley’s House

A Game 2 Report by Andy Lischett

Yesterday (Saturday, Nov. 12) Jim O’Kelley hosted a Diplomacy game at his house on the north side of Chicago, and it was fun.

I aggravated Jim on Thursday by asking if he could find a replacement for me because my partner at work had scheduled a job for Saturday even though I’d told him a month earlier that I couldn’t work that day. On Friday night I checked with Jim and found that I am irreplaceable, so on Saturday morning I worked until 10:00, changed into less smelly clothes, and zoomed down the expressway to Jim’s house, arriving only 21 minutes late, at 11:21 (Jim, I apologize for my late arrival, but I thought there would be a cocktail hour before lunch, and then we would start the game).
