Windy City Weasels

The World DipCon Society meeting will be held tonight at 9 p.m. local time. At the meeting Peter Yeargin will present the Weasels' bid to host the 2012 World Diplomacy Championship at Weasel Moot VI.

We're proposing to host either a four- or five-round tournament in June, August or September of 2012. The tournament would feature a central clock, drop-dead timing, a center-based scoring system (probably our Modified Whipping system), and a top board in the final round to determine the world champion.

Last we heard, ours was the only bid up for consideration. Regardless, wish Peter luck. One way or the other, we should know in six hours or so whether the Weasels will be hosting WDC in 2012.
